Planning a wedding in the Fine City is exciting, and the music shapes the atmosphere of the whole celebration. I’m Tim Daymond, known on stage as Tinsel Tim. My DJ career began in 1976, so 2026 marks fifty years of entertaining wedding guests.
I founded Mobile Disco Network in 2013, and I still personally perform at every single booking. In fact, I’ve never missed one. So the friendly face you meet beforehand is exactly the person who entertains your guests.
Why Couples Choose Me for Norwich Wedding DJ Hire
Choosing your entertainment is an important decision. However, several reassuring facts are easy to verify before you commit.
- It’s always me. I personally entertain your guests at every stage of the celebration.
- Officially vetted. I’m Trading Standards Approved under the Norfolk County Council scheme, ID 0000457.
- Award winning. The Prestige Awards named me DJ Entertainment Company of the Year, Central England, in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
- Properly insured. I carry £10 million public liability insurance, and every piece of equipment is PAT tested.
- Spare equipment, always. I also bring a complete spare sound and lighting system to every celebration.
That’s why Norwich wedding DJ hire with me feels calm and uncomplicated. You can read about my recognition on the awards and recognition page too.

Norwich Wedding Venues I Know Well
Every room sounds and feels different. So I place my speakers and lights to suit each space, rather than use a fixed plan.
Dunston Hall
I know Dunston Hall particularly well, because 2026 is my sixth consecutive Christmas season there. I regularly entertain in the Sunningdale Suite, the Eaton Suite and the Bunkers Bar.
The two suites suit bigger weddings, so I size my sound for a large room. Meanwhile, the Bunkers Bar works well for birthdays, Ladies’ Nights and office parties.
Dragon Hall
Dragon Hall is a medieval merchant’s hall with a spectacular timber-framed roof. That’s why I bring a small, smart set-up that suits the old hall. It looks good against the beams, yet it still fills the dance floor.
Oaklands Hotel
Oaklands Hotel hosts garden ceremonies and lively evening parties for all ages. As a result, I often play there all day, from the vows to the last song.
Several Norwich wedding venues operate a sound limiter to protect their neighbours. Still, careful planning keeps the celebration flowing comfortably within those limits. For practical advice, read my guide to wedding DJs and sound limiters.
