These K-pop party songs are the tracks I’ve watched fill dance floors as a DJ across East Anglia. I’m Tim Daymond, known on stage as Tinsel Tim, and I’ve been a DJ since 1976.
I started hearing regular K-pop requests at school discos and teen parties around 2022. By 2025, APT. had become a must-play at almost every event with guests under thirty. So here’s my list, grouped by mood, with simple notes on when to play each track.
Why K-Pop Party Songs Now Belong in Every DJ Set
K-pop is no longer a niche genre. In 2025, APT. by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars became one of the biggest singles in the world. As a result, K-pop has moved firmly onto mainstream dance floors.
The appeal goes beyond the music. Fans adore the random play dance, where everyone performs the choreography simultaneously. In fact, that shared moment makes a K-pop party feel wonderfully interactive.

1. The Global Streaming Legends
These are the heavy hitters, so any K-pop party songs DJ set starts here. Even guests who say they don’t know K-pop will recognise these melodies.
- Dynamite, BTS: pure 2020 disco-pop, so it’s the safest opener for a mixed crowd.
- How You Like That, BLACKPINK: a huge energy spike, with a massive drop on a professional system.
- Butter, BTS: smooth and confident, plus very Western in its production.
- Kill This Love, BLACKPINK: dramatic horns, then a punchy intro that demands attention.
- Boy With Luv, BTS featuring Halsey: bright and melodic, so it suits the early warm-up.
- DDU-DU DDU-DU, BLACKPINK: famous for its finger gun choreography, so fans join in instantly.
- Money, LISA: high-energy trap for late teen sets and 18th birthdays.
- Gangnam Style, PSY: the original viral hit, yet the horse dance still fills the floor.
- Seven, Jung Kook featuring Latto: clean modern pop that bridges K-pop and the UK chart.
- Hype Boy, NewJeans: breezy and addictive, so it’s a big favourite with younger guests.
- Pink Venom, BLACKPINK: opens with traditional Korean percussion, then explodes into the chorus.
- God’s Menu, Stray Kids: heavy, chaotic energy that defines the group’s sound.
- Love Dive, IVE: sophisticated pop, plus elegant and much-requested choreography.
- Antifragile, LE SSERAFIM: rhythmic and dance-heavy, so it rarely fails.
- Cupid (Twin Ver.), FIFTY FIFTY: a global viral hit, made accessible by its bilingual structure.
2. Viral Hits and Dance Floor Must-Haves
These tracks dominate social video platforms right now. So for a teenage celebration, they’re absolutely essential.
- APT., ROSÉ and Bruno Mars: the defining party anthem of the moment, with a chanted hook everyone joins.
- Magnetic, ILLIT: dreamy but danceable, and one of my most requested tracks.
- Supernova, aespa: futuristic energy that sounds incredible with club lighting.
- Sticky, KISS OF LIFE: a retro R&B feel, so it suits summer parties.
- CRAZY, LE SSERAFIM: high tempo and high impact, so it lifts a flat floor.
- Chk Chk Boom, Stray Kids: confident energy that younger crowds also love.
- Whiplash, aespa: fast and intense, so I save it for a packed floor.
- Mantra, JENNIE: stylish and cinematic, and popular at 21st birthdays.
- Who, Jimin: a melodic powerhouse that then keeps the momentum going.
- Rockstar, LISA: edgy and rock-influenced, which makes it a great transition.
- JUMP, BLACKPINK: high-energy material from their 2025 era, so it fits a peak moment.
- DRIP, BABYMONSTER: a darker sound for older teen audiences.
- Strategy, TWICE featuring Megan Thee Stallion: a strong crossover with hip-hop appeal.
- Focus, Hearts2Hearts: melodic and accessible, yet from a newer group.
- Hollywood Action, BOYNEXTDOOR: an indie-flavoured palate cleanser for mid-set.

How I Mix K-Pop Party Songs as a DJ for Mixed Ages
Not every guest knows K-pop, of course. So as a DJ, I mix K-pop party songs with familiar pop. That avoids one long block.
- Musical bridges: First, I use crossover tracks with familiar melodies, especially early in the evening.
- Reading the room: Then I raise the energy with viral hits once the fans take over the floor.
- Live requests: Guests scan a QR code and send requests from their phones.
- Your favourite groups: Tell me your favourite groups, and I’ll weave them into the night.
That way, a K-pop party keeps the whole room moving. For more current hits, see my modern chart party hits. Planning a costume theme? Then my fancy dress party guide has plenty of ideas.
